Both dramas were wonderful ( Page Turner was so beautiful and heart-warming Ji Soo is amazing), but they were dramas I chose to casually watch because of their brevity. I picked up Kill Me Heal Me after all the craziness of college applications season, and I watched the drama over a span of about three months (I know, I’m slow). I say Kill Me Heal Me is the first real k-drama I watched because the only other k-dramas I’ve watched before are Choco Bank and Page Turner, series with only 6 episodes and 3 episodes, respectively. For means of closure, I’m getting all the feels out in this review. At least tell us what happens after with them.Hello friends! I haven’t posted in over a year, but… I recently finished watching my first ~real~ k-drama, Kill Me Heal Me. And it killed me. Fourth, I don’t really understand the point of Ki Joon and Chae Yeon, as in the end they are barely there. I don’t mind the romance, but it’s just too convenient of how she’s the key to all his problems… from being the girl in the basement, his love, and to his psychiatrist. Third, and this is a spoiler so block if you want to see, I wish Oh Ri Jin is not involved in Do Hyun’s memory or at least if she does, I wish they are biological siblings. Second, I wish it’s a bit longer, since the conclusion felt rushed. I’ve read about people change eye color when other personality appears, but a tattoo? That’s just too far-fetched. First of all, I wish Shin Se Gi doesn’t have a tattoo. I have some complaints about this drama though. I especially love everytime Yo Na or Perry Park appears, they never fail to bring out the laughter! Especially when Ri Jin and Ri On goes into damage control mode… it’s just so much fun!

While it sounds like a serious drama, it’s actually hilarious! I think the only serious time we got for full episode is one in ep 16-17, while the rest are full with laugh-out-loud moments. You really felt for him but at the same time, admire him for his resolve. He plays the second lead here, as Oh Ri On, Ri Jin’s twin brother who’s laid back but actually super smart. This is my first drama of Park Seo Joon, but it definitely won’t be my last. She went all out with her expressions and acting, she looks like she doesn’t care how does she looks!

The chemistry between them is crazy! Chemistry aside, she done an amazing acting as Oh Ri Jin. This is Hwang Jung Eum second time paired with Ji Sung as lead of drama, and it shows by how comfortable they are working with each other. And it’s full to struggle and painful moments, but it’s also fun and beautiful. She’s just hilarious! Cha Do Hyun is the softest human being on earth, but you can see how much he has developed from the first episode to the very last, in order to handle his circumstances. My favorite is of course, Do Hyun and Yo Na. Playing 7 different characters is a hard thing to do, but Ji Sung did it flawlessly! Even without different make up and attire, you can see when Cha Do Hyun is not there anymore and other character appears, only by his stare and posture. It also breaks the stigma that people with DID have “evil” other personality, as most of Do Hyun’s personalities are harmless… except for Shin Se Gi when he is provoked.

The writers also seem to have done research on the topics since it is not used as a romantic device, rather the story and reveal progress naturally. Each personality’s background story is done and developed really well and we get to know them in equal amount (except for Shin Se Gi). I love this drama so so so much! First of all, the DID aspect of this drama is so well done. Can they keep his DID a secret and help recover his memories? They have to navigate complicated issues such as company power struggle and the lost memory resurfacing, which caused Cha Do Hyun to be very unpredictable and gives more chance for other personalities to appear. He met Oh Ri Jin, a psychiatrist, by accident, and she agrees to help him and became his secret doctor. He has 6 other alter egos: Shin Se-Gi the violent one, Ahn Yo Sub the suicidal one, Ahn Yo Na who is a 17 year old school girls that stalk handsome oppas, Perry Park the drunken ahjussi, and the mysterious Nana and Mr. Kill Me, Heal Me tells the story of Cha Do Hyun, a third generation chaebol who lost a year of his memory when he was 7-8 years old and also diagnosed with dissociative personality disorder (DID). Cha Do Hyun (LOOK HOW SOFT HE LOOKS), Shin Se Gi, Perry Park, Ahn Yo Sub, Ahn Yo Na, Nana, Mr. I finished this in 3 days and took 2 weeks to recover from the hangover. But it appeared on my timeline and the next thing I knew, I was starting its 8th episode. Descendants of the Sun, who? I think I just found my new favorite drama. I have this drama on my to-watch list, but I have no plans to watch it anytime soon.
